I love my Dad to pieces, but buying gifts for him is hard. The man doesn’t want anything material at this point in his life. No clothes, no gifts. I love to show him appreciation, and I’ve found the best way to do that is by feeding him!
My Dad loves a good pie, like my Strawberry Pie or my Gooseberry Pie. And he LOVES good meat! He eats very heart healthy most days, so events like Father’s Day and his birthday are great opportunities to splurge a little bit and eat some barbecue.
So, what do you get for your Dad when has just about everything? I turn to Burgers’ Smokehouse. Burgers’ is local to Kansas City, based in California, Missouri! California (Missouri) is about 15 minutes from my hometown. I had the fortune of growing up on Burgers’ bacon and ham, and I have to say that it spoiled me for all others. Even better, Burgers’ is still family owned and operated. Right now, the 3rd and 4th generations are running it!
