Can I Use Deli Turkey For This Recipe?

When I made these Turkey Cranberry Sliders, I used leftover turkey and cranberry sauce. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have leftovers available! Just visit your deli and ask them to thick cut deli turkey.

If thin-sliced deli turkey is what you have on hand, use it! It will be delicious.

Tips for Preparing Turkey Cranberry Sliders:

  • If you have leftover sliders, reheat them in the oven before eating.
  •  I prefer to pre-cut the rolls to allow for the sauce to fall into the nooks and crannies around each roll!
  •  Remember to remove the foil for the last few minutes of bake time. This will let the tops of the rolls crisp up nicely and help reduce any greasiness.

I hope that you enjoy these super easy, baked Turkey Cranberry Sliders! If you have any other ways that you love to use up leftover turkey, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Notes

Instead of using plain cranberry sauce, you can make a simple cranberry BBQ sauce. I actually think we might like it even better than the cranberry sauce by itself! Here's how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Add all ingredients to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it begins to bubble, stirring constantly. Spoon over the top of the turkey before baking the sliders.
