Easy Cheeseburger Pizza
Need a delicious dinner recipe the entire family will love? This Easy Cheeseburger pizza is it! This ground beef pizza recipe is a great option for pizza night.
We have pizza almost every Friday night! It’s a tradition we took on from my sister-in-law’s family. Every Friday night, they enjoy pizza (both homemade and delivery), popcorn and a family movie!

Having the menu set each week takes the pressure off, and pizza night is always an easy, crowd-pleasing choice.
We alternate between ordering pizza in and making it at home! When we make it at home, I try to switch it up with different options like this new recipe and these other easy recipes, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Mexican Chicken Flatbread.

I used a pre-made pizza base crust for this lean meat pizza, which limits your cooking and measuring! You’ll only have to brown ground beef and dice toppings.

Ingredients Needed
But feel free to use refrigerated pizza crust or homemade pizza dough! You will need enough dough to fill a standard 12-inch pizza pan.
We use a simple homemade sauce for this recipe, but again, feel free to use prepared pizza sauce. You will need roughly 20 ounces of sauce.
For the toppings, you will need:
- lean ground beef
- part-skim mozzarella cheese
- shredded colby jack cheese
- bell peppers
- fresh mushrooms
- diced onions
If you’d like to add additional meat, pepperoni slices or crumbled bacon are a great chioce.

After the pizza is baked, you can add addition cold toppings that you would traditionally add to a cheeseburger. There are several options for toppings once the pizza has been baked, including:
- pickle slices, either store-bought or homemade crispy sweet pickles
- shredded lettuce
- creamy cheeseburger sauce (recipe below)
- diced tomatoes
- sliced pepperoncini peppers
Recipe Substitutions
- Instead of pizza sauce, try using your favorite barbecue sauce!
- Instead of ground beef, you can use leftover roast beef, shredded. Or, brisket!
- Use whatever cheese you prefer. Provolone and cheddar are great options!

Serving Suggestions
Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what to serve with pizza! I made this post 15+ Healthy Side Dishes for Pizza to help with just that.

Saving Leftovers
Leftover pizza should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. My favorite way to reheat pizza is to put it on a baking sheet in a cold oven. Then, I set it to pre-heat to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
By the time the oven beeps to let you know it’s pre-heated, the pizza will be heated through with a crispy crust!

I hope that you enjoy this easy ground beef pizza recipe! If you make it, I’d love to hear how it went in the comments below.
