My husband and I have always been big movie buffs. We have eagerly awaited the time that our toddler son could sit through an entire movie, so we could start the tradition of family movie nights! Well, the time has come and we've been slowly making it through all of my favorite childhood movies! Recently, The Land Before Time collection was released at Walmart. It was a childhood favorite for both of us, so we eagerly snatched up the original movie so we could introduce son to the adventures of Littlefoot!

Our standard movie night snack is popcorn. And occasionally, we mix it up with ice cream or I'll add something special to the popcorn. I decided to combine the best of our favorite snacks in this Ice Cream Sundae Popcorn Mix. I used homestyle microwave popcorn, which is our go-to variety because it is light on the butter but still has fantastic flavor.

I then layered melted milk chocolate, dried bananas and cherries, peanuts and sprinkles! This may sound a bit strange, but the flavors mesh together so well. The cherries and peanuts add sweetness and the peanuts add saltiness. And ALL of the ingredients taste a bit better when dipped in chocolate! You truly can't go wrong with this flavor combo that's traditionally used to top ice cream!

Growing up, we watched movies every Friday night with pizza, popcorn and soda. It was such a treat and something I really looked forward to every week. Now, me and my little family love to watch movies in our bed, because it's big enough for all three of us to snuggle!

I keep joking with Craig that we just need to put a bed (or a giant recliner) in our living room so that we can watch movies there. Either way, we have a great time, even though we typically watch our family movies earlier than most. Eli's bedtime is still pretty early, so our "movie night" is typically a "movie day!" Sunday afternoons are my favorite day to snuggle up with the fam, watch movies and eat snacks.

I don't think that snack sounds weird at all - in fact, I think it's maybe some of the best looking popcorn ever! Adding chocolate and dried fruit and nuts to popcorn is a fabulous idea!

Thanks Stacey! It's truly delish. I figure if you throw a bunch of things that taste better with chocolate in a bowl, it works!
