Get ready for your summer BBQ with this traditional Hawaiian Mac Salad! This creamy macaroni salad is a GREAT recipe and the perfect side dish for cookouts.

INGREDIENTS

For the dressing: – Mayonnaise – Milk – Yellow onion, finely diced – Apple cider vinegar – Brown sugar – Black pepper – Salt For the macaroni salad: – Elbow macaroni, cooked – Shredded carrots – Green onions – Celery, diced – Yellow onion, finely diced

1. COOK THE PASTA

Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions.

2. MAKE THE DRESSING

Place all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously until well combined, then allow the dressing to rest.

3. COMBINE

In a bowl, place cooked macaroni. Pour half of the dressing over the top of the pasta and gently fold with a spatula. Add the remaining dressing and stir gently.

4. REFRIGERATE

Sprinkle carrots, green onions, celery and yellow onion over the mac salad. Toss gently to combine. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least one hour.

5. SERVE

Serve chilled.
