In a bowl, add butter and sugar and cream together. Add egg and vanilla extract, and stir.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture and fold.

Add oats and raisin, fold gently. Drop cookie dough balls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 9-11 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to rest on the cookie sheet for 1-2 minutes.
