INGREDIENTS

– 6 medium Granny Smith apples – ¼ cup dried cranberries – ¼ cup packed brown sugar – 2 tablespoons butter, melted – 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts – ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Using a melon baller, remove the cores from the apples, leaving the bottom intact.

Mix together the remaining ingredients and melted butter. Spoon the mixture into the top of the apples. Arrange the apples around the bottom of the slow cooker.

PREP INGREDIENTS

Add ¼ cup of water around the bottom of the apples to help keep them from burning to the crock pot. Cook on low for about 2 hours.

ADD CREAM

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and drizzle with honey, maple syrup or caramel sauce.
