– Beef sirloin – Dry sherry cooking wine – Soy sauce – Baking soda – Cornstarch – Beef broth – Balsamic vinegar – Garlic – Ginger, dried – Hoisin sauce

Add the beef, sherry, soy sauce, baking soda and cornstarch to a bowl. Toss well and allow to rest for about 10 minutes.

In a bowl, combine the broth, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, sherry, hoising, sugar and cornstarch.

In a  skillet, heat 2 tbsp of the cooking oil on medium-high heat. Add beef to skillet and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.

Remove beef from skillet and drain excess juice. Wipe skillet, then add cooking oil. Heat on medium-high heat.

Add garlic, ginger and bell pepper. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the pre-mixed sauce to the skillet, and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.

Return beef to skillet and toss in the sauce. Allow to re-heat for 2 minute. Add green onions and unsalted peanuts. Serve warm!
