This Easy Mint Frosting for Sugar Cookies is a tradition in my family! It only has four ingredients and is so easy to make!

When I married my husband, I married into a really wonderful family. Besides being great people, they truly know how to do the holidays right. Some of my best memories from my teenage and college years are the holidays with his family, experiencing all of their traditions. One of those traditions is making cut out sugar cookies and frosting them with this easy mint frosting! At first, I wasn’t so sure what to think, but since it’s my husband’s favorite frosting, I grew to love it over time!

Making this Easy Mint Frosting couldn’t be easier. There’s only three ingredients! And, you can choose to color it however you like. I like to color it with green food coloring so that people can distinguish this mint frosting from traditional vanilla frosting, but do whatever you’d like!

I love to use this frosting on Christmas Tree shape cookies. It looks gorgeous with sprinkles or red hots as ornaments!

Most traditional icings and glazes call for milk or water, but I think that you get a better result by using half and half or heavy cream, since they have a higher fat content. The flavor is really enhanced!
